PLANNING

Retirement isn't the back nine.
It’s a different sport.

It’s a fun sport and you will enjoy it, but your finances need to be set up differently than they were while you were saving—and differently from anyone else’s. Playing your new sport well means choosing your track, using retirement-specific strategies, and having the right gear. Your clubs won’t help you here, but a good coach can.

01 / RETIREMENT

Retirement planning is
one giant puzzle.

The retirement you have in mind and the financial plan that supports it are built together. Your portfolio, income, tax, risk, and estate decisions all affect one another - and their order and timing matter.

Karen has 17 years of experience in financial services, including eight years specializing in retirement planning, and has guided hundreds of people into and through retirement.

You bring the picture. Karen brings the knowledge and experience to understand how each piece works and what it changes. Together, we work out how the pieces fit.

02 / OTHER PLANNING

Not every goal is retirement.

A lot of life happens before retirement. A first home. Children's education. Taking over the farm. Starting a business. Years when family, debt, memories, and the future are all pulling on the same paycheque.

A focused plan keeps the priorities clear when resources are stretched. It works out what needs to be saved, where it should go, what needs to be protected, and how to maximize any government programs available to you - so the goal does not quietly slip away, but saving for it does not take more from life now than it needs to.

The goal is not to save as much as possible. It is to save enough, on purpose, without missing the years you can't get back.
